Tim could only stare dumbfounded with his sleep deprived eyes after searching for the right summoning in his backup backup bunker to find batman after escaping the arkham asylum.

In its right thin hand holding like a wet napkin was batman unconscious, coated in deep blue ice.

"I believe this belong to your dimension, at first, I thought it was a miniature cat at first when it tried a pathetic attempt at fleeing my children's toy box was when I noticed it was just another misplaced humans and they don't last long in the infinite realm much less my children's toybox. It took me a moment to figure out the right dimensions where it originated, but you thankfully made it easier for me to find with the summoning." The bring lightly drop Batman down to the ground as the deep frozen ice easily melted away.

"D-don't you need a payment?" Is what Tim spoke after his mind reset back from shock.

"Oh no~, visiting this dimension is a grand payment considering this where I can finally nib the bud of those pesky sewage ectoplasm that been a pain in my ankle for long enough. At best, you would be rewarded for giving me such a gift." The being lightly tapped Tim's head with its glowing index finger, ruffling the black hair lightly.

"Should you need me for any favor, Call upon me, the High King of the Infinite realm, Danny Phantom, Protector of the Dead and Alive, Center of the Eternal Vast Sp" The be- Danny did a light bow, as his towering being faded away, the summoning circle disappearing as well.

Leaving only Tim alone with a Bruce coughing a bit, taking a couple of heavy breaths of fresh air which snapped Tim out of his stupor.

"Bruce, Bruce, are you alright?" Tim rushed over and lightly shook Bruce's shoulder as Bruce's eyes opened slowly to see Tim, except there was something different about tim. His hair wasn't black but now a strikingly bright white with specks of stardust.

Sam ending up throught groundbringe fuckery in Tfp would be such a vacation for him i think. Less action, less aliens ripping each other to shreds every miniute, the difference between how bay formers and tfp formers look.. Sam would look at tfp cons deadpan not afraid at all

Meanwhile the kids in Bayverse would get treated like sparklings probably(wattch Miko growl once at a con and promptly get adopted) Raf especially. Jack would take one look at everything and just go to work in NEST cafeteria until others can figure a way back home for him, Miko and Raf because he's NOT getting involved in this housefire(would avoid bay!Op like a plague something something honorary prime nonsense)

Sam is right there, chilling and spazzing on the minor things (to everyone else in TFP), while completely blasé to the major world-changing/world-ending things. He's been in more than one "end of human civilization" scenarios. It's not his first rodeo, and he's not even counting the doomsday panic of 2000 and 2012. He's immune to crazy, otherworldly shit via alien technology. If anything, he's weirdly disappointed over the lack of alienness of their Artifacts.

He literally resurrected his version of Optimus, met the Dynasty of Primes, had the Allspark in his mind, and dealt with the Fallen that manipulated gravity fields.

Sam's treating it like an unwanted vacation to a place that lied upon the brochure. That guy is like a powerful magnet for destroying Decepticon plans. He would probably fall into a chasm of a hidden Energon mine or interrupt an Artifact expedition to his advantage because 1) Allspark guided him, or 2) he was getting to antsy in the base of nothingness (no human personnel, no cafeteria, no agents, no systems or tasks for him) and did a runner.

He definitely puts his foot in his mouth when he meets Arcee. Sam would never get used to their more human-like frames.

Sam's boogeyman would be M.E.C.H.

Meanwhile, the Jasper Trio is stuck on Diego Garcia. They're taken back by the immense operation that's N.E.S.T. and feeling really lost. Miko doesn't have a Bulkhead-equivalent, Jack doesn't know what to make of the triplets, and Raf isn't clicking this Bumblebee.

Because everyone is too busy, they're trying to slot into things without getting too underfoot. Jack already has certifications related to his fast food job, so he gets into the mess hall to prepare meals for hundreds. Raf and Miko get into the science portions. Raf is making a name for himself as he has the most success bridging tech and understanding the Cybertronian script. Miko likes explosions.

The kids are boggled by all the politicking that goes into it and the more intensely magical things with the Allspark.

Those three will never, ever not laugh at Dorito-Starscream.

(Both sides have the not-so-fun realization about the malfunction connected to Unicron in the middle of Earth. That's too farfetched for anyone, but the truth literally grabbed the respective Primes with giant elemantal fists to viciously shake them.)

The other day I drew more art for the story "Resonant" and

yeah, it looks cute, but had no idea how big an y/o is until recently...

Spoilers for Absolute Green Lantern issue #1!!

So unlike the other books in the Absolute universe, we don't know for sure what was taken away from the Green Lanterns. Like, I've been joking that it's Jo's iconic sense of style (tho the Absolute version of her has been growing on me) but from the interviews and previews it really hasn't been as clear cut as Absolute Superman growing up on Krypton or Batman not being a billionaire.

Even after my initial reading of issue #1, I'm still not entirely sure. But I have a theory: Absolute Green Lantern is missing Hal Jordan's courage.

From the setting and conversation between Hal, John, and Jo, we know that they all live in the small town of Evergreen rather than Coast City. This version of Hal is not a test pilot, and his very first lines are about how terrified he is.

Now, these things on their own simply highlight how Absolute!Hal is very different from his main universe counterpart. But Absolute!John is an architect and Absolute!Jo used to be part of Evergreen's police department. Absolute!Guy, though not actually seen in this issue, is also a cop. All consistent with what their pre-GL careers were in the main universe. Absolute!Hal is the only outlier in this regard.

(If I had to make a prediction, it would be that we'd find out that this version of Hal either didn't lose his father or simply didn't follow in his footsteps- assuming the Absolute universe's Martin Jordan is similar to his main universe counterpart.)

But why Hal specifically?

For better or worse, Geoff Johns's Emotional Spectrum saga made Hal Jordan the linchpin of the Green Lantern mythos. For the past two decades, he has been the de facto Green Lantern of DC Comics, and it has been his ability to overcome great fear that has virtually defined the mantle for an entire generation of comic readers.

Now, I could be wrong about this. But I don't think I am, and that's because of one other thing: the Yellow Weakness.

It's a bit of a blink-and-you'll-miss-it, but there are at least four instances of it in the comic. When Hal vaporizes the state trooper, all that's left of the guy are his badges. When the biker speeding through Evergreen slams into the giant Green Lantern, he and his bike are obliterated, yet his golden ring is clearly shown lying unscathed on the ground. When the man in the diner confronts Hal and gets sucked into the black hand, his necklace is what remains. And when Hal accidentally destroys the diner, the bell on the door can be clearly seen still hanging until Jo comes in.

In the main universe, the yellow weakness is mostly a thing of the past. Virtually none of the Green Lanterns we see are as susceptible to it as they were pre-Emerald Twilight. But technically, it does still exist in the modern day, albeit only for rookies who "don't know what they're doing."

It's too early to say for sure whether the Absolute universe's version of the yellow weakness works the same way. But given that Absolute!Abin is responsible for the black hand and the giant lantern symbol, and both of those are very clearly shown to be unable to affect objects that are the color of fear, it lends credence to the idea that the missing factor for Absolute!GL is Hal's courage.
